Now Come The Sleepless Nights

Needless to say, I was already nervous regarding this comic con endeavor and the size of the costumes. Now I have to wait for the chance of a life time to either pass me by or scoop me up. Fantastic. I'm going to be here piddling myself with my cats.

Anyway! I'm almost done with Shepard, expect MONDO SUPER FINISHED pictures this Friday, as I have to have the suit done for an Open House at work on Saturday. It's pretty cool, all these high-up theme-park-animatronic people are going to see my scary ass costume. I think it should be interesting to see their reactions...I'm pretty sure they don't play Mass Effect. If they do, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Anyway, here's a picture of how I feel right now. More pics to come!!

@Eleni

Well it's your fault!! You roped me into this!! ;p No just kidding, if it weren't for you I wouldn't have even gotten the call back. You're awesome beyond awesomeness and get an e-hug for serious. If I ever get out to Hawaii again I owe you coffee!! lol

@Kelly: You're a meanie pants, I usually look a little less frightened.

Just saw your audition video, it was posted on kotaku. Really awesome work on the costumes. If they don;t pick you they are making a huge mistake.

Good luck :)

My friend just sent me the link to your comic con video. I can't tell you how excited I am to see that shepard armor finished. From the look of it, you are completely doing it justice.

I don't mean to sound rude, but how do you not already have a career in the film industry? I took some time to look through some of you work and I think it's beautiful. I truly hope that presenting these costumes at this year's Comic Con opens up a bevy of options for you. You deserve a career in film.

Oh... And as long as you're on a Mass Effect kick, you should make a Hanar costume. Don't ask me how you would do it. I just want to be a Hanar... Don't judge me.

Hey, just thought I'd alert you to the fact this video is making the rounds here at BioWare. We're quite impressed. Thanks for returning such a huge amount of the love and care we put into these characters back at us!

Hey holly,
Kai here, not sure if you remember, but i was one of the guys working masquerade last year (the one with the British accent), loved your lady of pain, but this time? you've taken it to a new level.
kotaku had it right, it's almost unfair to compare you to other cosplayers.
i know for a fact you will leave San Diego with at LEAST a major prize from the masq.
of course that's my personal opinion, and i have no sway of judging.
but the amount of love you've put into all this? amazing.
i'm trying for a similar career choice as you, and i feel confidant i can get a job doing what i love... if i feel good about getting there eventually, then you have nothing to worry about!

Hey I was wondering, as a person who is doing a degree in modelmaking as to how your doing some of this, it looks quite interesting to say the least!

How are you doing the armour btw? With stock card or with fibreglass? Just asking since one of my projects next year involves prop design along with costume stuff(incl. armour). Anyways keep it up!
